Petromax Stovetop Camping Oven

The Petromax Stovetop Camping Oven is perfect for cooking stews, vegetables, casseroles, chillis, curries etc. or baking bread, cakes, crusty breakfast rolls, ciabatta etc. to perfection. This portable camping oven can be used directly over a gas camp stove, campervan hob, open fire, Petromax Atago BBQ, Petromax Gas Table or any other portable stove or home cooker hob heat source. With the additional Petromax Baking Tray for Stovetop Camping Oven you can also cook pizzas, flatbreads, nan breads etc. whilst cooking a dish in the circular cooking tin underneath.

Basically, whatever can be cooked, baked or heated in a regular home oven, can also be cooked with the Petromax Stovetop Camping Oven!

The Petromax Stovetop Camping Oven has three high-quality stainless-steel components; a tough base with central opening that is in direct contact with the heat source, a 2 litre capacity circular baking tin with double handles where food is cooked and a coated lid with stainless-steel knob to easily check how your food is cooking/when it is cooked. Heat is optimally distributed when the lid is on top.

The two handles of the circular baking tin allow you to serve your oven cooked dish in an unusual, circular shape that will turn heads.

How it Works

The unique feature of the Stovetop Camping Oven is the three-way air circulation providing top, bottom and side heat via the middle and side ventilation openings. The double wall of the ring mould allows heat to rise from the base up the sides and upwards through the baking tin and collects underneath the lid to produce the required top heat for the baking process - as in a ring cake pan.

Instructions – How to Use

Fill the circular baking tin with ingredients or dough, place the lid on the oven and then place it on the base directly over the flame or in the centre of the stove top. Depending on the recipe, always leave a few centimetres of space in the baking tin so that the dough can rise, or the food does not overflow.
