Dometic Limpet Suction Awning Drive-Away Kit

The Dometic Limpet Suction Awning Drive-Away Kit is a heavy-duty sucker connection system designed for attaching a drive-away awning to the roof of a van. This drive away kit can be used with VW T4, T5 or T6 vans without an awning rail fitted... however, for a 100% secure connection we would always recommend fitting a rail.

Please note: We do not recommend using this kit for vans with elevating roofs or roof bars or with sun canopy type awnings.
 
To Connect: 1. Attach the Limpets through the pre-cut holes of the Kador Connecting Strip and fasten to a flat surface on the van roof by turning clockwise while applying downward pressure. 2. Join the Kador Connecting Strip to the Awning Kador by sliding the 3 x lengths of Figure of 8 Awning Channel between.

To Detach: Loosen off front webbing straps/guylines of the awning, slide out the Figure of 8 joining strips, turn the Limpets a few turns anticlockwise and remove.
 
The Kador Connection Strip and one length of Figure of 8 Awning Channel can be easily cut to the exact length of your awning if required.

*Please note: each Limpet Suction Pad needs at least 5cm of flat roof surface to attach properly – although they will secure tightly to the main roof area (between the gully's) of a VW T4, T5 or T6 there is not enough flat surface on the curved outer edge of the roof (the corner part after the roof gully) to secure the pads.
