Due to the differences in pop-top roof configurations we reccomend reading our How to Guide on fitting with an elevating roof and making sure you check all measurements before ordering
To Fit: If required, cut down rail to the exact length. If your elevating roof is wide enough, position the rail at the very edge of the roof to the side of the scissor hinge/gas strut with the C-profile facing outwards so it is concealed under the pop-top when closed. At this stage it is easy to put a gentle bend in the rail to follow the roof curve before screwing, riveting and/or bonding in position.
For SWB vans, fit the rail towards the rear of the roof so the sliding side door has enough space to open without damaging a drive-away awning connection tunnel. For more in depth information about positioning and fitting an awning rail under an elevating roof - see our How To page.
A sun canopy type awning will just slide directly into the C profile. Use a 6mm to 6mm Drive-Away Kit with a drive-away awning to make it easier to detach and reconnect if you drive out for the day
