Each awning has five eyelets, comes with three height adjustable poles, five guylines and pegs.
Use all 3 poles in a straight type configuration (photos 1 & 2) or our personal favourite, just remove the 2 corner poles and adjust the middle pole to a fair height and peg down the remaining 4 guylines making a sort of ridge tent configuration (photos 3 & 4) - ideal for breezier/rainy conditions.
In fact with a bit of imagination and combinations of using either 1, 2 or 3 poles at varying heights the possibilities are endless, making this camper awning one of the most versatile out there.
Please note: to avoid rain damage -awnings they must be left in the single pole tent configuration overnight and if you’re away from your camper for any length of time.

Attaching Your VW Camper Awning
There are three methods for attaching this awning to your campervan:
1. Pole and Clamp - which comes as standard
2. Keder Strip which is also sewn in to the awning edge as standard
3. 3 x Figure of 8 awning strips which will need to be added to your order
Pole and Clamp method is ideal for 90% of Split Screens, Bay Windows and Type 25’s – just slide the gutter pole through the canopy sleeve, place in gutter and secure using the 3 clamps (which have rubber padding to avoid scratching your paintwork).
If you’re in any doubt as to whether your campervan will take the pole and clamps - please measure before ordering or use something of same diameter and physically try it.The gutter pole diameter is 16mm but with plastic bungs on each end making it 19mm Ø x 3.2m length.
If you have an awning rail fitted with a ‘C channel’ profile our awnings also have Keder Strip piping sewn in above the pole sleeve which will slide directly into the channel. If our awning is longer than your awning rail (on VW T5’s for example) the loose corner of material can be secured by attaching a Clingon Instant Eyelet and guyline.
We recommend the use of 3 x figure of 8 Awning Strips to attach our awnings when the gutter rail on a VW type 2 or type 25 is obstructed by a high top roof or roof rack for instance.If you do have a roof rack fitted the figure of 8 awning strips can easily be cut down to fit in between and either side. We also recommend figure of 8 channel be used with fitted awning rails that have a male profile edge or are too shallow to accommodate our 16mm gutter pole.
