QXF 3D FIBRE:

QXF3D is a specialist fibre filling that has been designed for use in outdoor applications such as sleeping bags and quilted outer garments.

The best insulators are very effective at trapping air, each individual filament of fibre is spiraled with 4 hollow cores which significantly
increases the ability to trap air.

Weight for weight the QXF3D fabric is lighter than ordinary solid fibre fillings.
QXF3D is a high loft filling, which adds
to its insulating abilities.
QXF3D fibres compress effectively
to minimise pack size.
QXF3D retains its insulating properties
even when damp.
QXF3D fibre provides an easy care filling
that can be carefully machine washed.

* Highlander have clarified the rating for this bag with the following statement……

“Originally, we recommended that the Echo 400 was suitable for an ‘extreme’ temperature rating of -25’C. This was based on the performance of similar competitor’s bags in the market place.

Following a review of packaging, we decided to be a little more cautious about the performance of our sleeping bags and revised the figures. Echo 400 changed to an Extreme temp of -15’C on the packaging for the product. What we really meant by that statement was that the lower level of the comfort was actually -15’C.

The actual Extreme temperature performance of the bag remains -25’C.”
